Clothing swap

Last night I attended my first ever "Clothing Swap" Party. Talk about a great idea.

We were all encouraged to bring a bag of clothes that we hadn't put on all summer, that no longer fit, or that we were just getting tired of. Additionally, you could bring accessories, household items, etc.

I walked in with a bag of clothes that sit, unworn, in my closet for one reason or another. And I walked out with 2 new pairs of pants, 5 shirts, a dress, a necklace and a bracelet.

At the end of the evening, we bagged up all of the leftover clothes and put them in the trunk of the hostess' car and she will be dropping them off at a clothing mission this week.

Ladies everywhere, you have got to try this idea. Why shop when you could trade? :)

The clothing swap sounds awesome - did you do it with friends, or did you go to a clothing swap event?

Hi Karina! I should have brought you along! I didn't know until the last minute that there would be some mommies bringing their kids. That added to the fun and mass confusion! :) But yes, it was an open invitation from a friend who encouraged people to bring friends. Obviously, for a party like this, the more who come, the more selection there is! It was a blast.

Yes! Let me know if another comes up. I might try to organize one myself!
