Our vacation, in summary (part 1)

Lauren's picture

We just got back from family vacation, and it was maybe a bit more eventful than we had planned. It started off in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains for a few days, where we tried our hand at...

Canoeing! The highlight was watching a hawk dive for food to feed its babies- we could hear their little squawks coming from the nest.

Mountain Climbing! We started small but it was still quite a hike for a 2 year old.

Unbelievably, we ran into another family that we knew, climbing this same mountain. Another fun surprise was the plethora of wild blueberries growing on the mountain. Zoe made it halfway to the top, and Mike and I took turns going the rest of the way.

And we enjoyed a well rounded camping diet of hot dogs, marshmallows, and other easily roastable items.
