Things went almost as planned

Things went almost as Zoe explained that they would. We stayed up late and ate yummy foods on Sunday, and Monday morning woke up to a phone call asking if we could bring her in earlier for a morning surgery instead. This turned out to be great news, because withholding food from this 2 1/2 year old for a good part of the day was not going to be easy.

So, Zoe did get her bath and pack her suitcase, but we did not paint nails as planned.

All ready to go!

Awake after surgery- looking pretty good already.

Passing the time. Notice that instead of painting fingernails, Zoe dressed up for the occasion with some temporary tatoos. A snake, and some dancing green people that you can't see.

All snuggled in bed...

"I'm gonna be just fine, mom!" :)
